How I Gained 10lbs In A Month.

I'm sure you've read a ton of articles on weight loss but my story is the complete opposite of that. In my 2017 Goals post, I mentioned that I wanted to gain weight and I can now check that one off of my list. I've gained 10lbs in less than a month and I'm super happy with the results.

Now a lot of really thin women look amazing... I, on the other hand, look like a bobblehead. I've always been extra skinny and didn't like how I looked but I dealt with it for most of my life because I felt like I had no choice. When I realized that I could actually make a change in my body, I was able to gain the weight but just couldn't manage to keep it on.

I recently heard about this product called Apetamin(no this is not sponsored), read a bunch of reviews, and decided to give it a try. I've done the gym thing before and enjoyed it but it took way too long to see results. I wanted something to help speed up the process and this worked out great. Although I haven't been to the gym lately because I'm lazy, I do suggest that you go just to tone everything up and minimize belly fat.

(Unfortunately I didn't take any before and after photos so this is as good as it gets.)

The directions for adults say to take 10ml three times a day before food but I took between 5-10ml twice a day. The first two to three days were the worst. All I wanted to do was sleep. The reviews did mention that would happen so I made sure to start taking it on a weekend. After those three days of laying in bed had passed, the Apetamin no longer made me feel sleepy but instead extra hungry. I was eating like a beast and put on 5lbs in about a week. I'm 5ft6 and my starting weight was 110lbs. I'm now at 120 and taking the Apetamin once a day(5ml) to maintain it. I might increase the dosage again just to gain another 5lbs. I still want to stay thin but a "healthy looking" thin or in other words... "slim thick".

Oh, and random but still on topic.. Why do some people think it's okay to ask a skinny person if they eat?.. Along with throwing in all their other unwanted comments? I've never understood that. What's even more interesting is that I would mostly hear it from random men. Like who are you to comment on my weight, sir? Nobody was checking for you in the first place. So if someone has something negative to say about you, take a good look at them because it's usually from someone who doesn't have their shit together in the first place. End rant.

On another note, if you're happy with yourself then great! If not, change it! Yes, it's that simple and it applies to life in more ways than one. I'm absolutely loving this product and definitely recommend it but of course always do your own research to see if it's right for you.

What's In My Bag?

If you love a good "What's In My Bag" post then you're my kinda girl. I don't know what it is but I always get sucked into reading them! I guess I'm just nosy👃. So today I'm going to share what's usually inside my bag besides all of the random garbage, old receipts, and loose change.

Small to medium sized bags are where it's at for me. I don't like big bags simply because I'm pretty small and feel ridiculous when wearing them. Also, a big bag gives me an excuse to fill it up with things that I don't really need. This Coach bag was a gift from my boyfriend and let me just say that he did a pretty good job 😁. I added on the pom-pom which I believe I got from WetSeal for less than $5 and I love how cute it looks.

So first we have my wallet(my old ass VS wallet to be more descriptive) and phone. The mirrored aviators are from Forever21 and I am o b s e s s e d with them because they're rose gold even though you can't tell in the photo.

Lately, I like to carry a small snack in case I get hangry. I was never a fan of coconut but these toasted coconut Belvita biscuits are soo good.

Advil or any otc painkiller is a must-have in my bag to get rid of annoying headaches.

I almost always have deodorant and gum handy to stay fresh. Also, usually some kind of scented wipes because if you're getting a little funky you do not want to reapply your deodorant over that.

There's nothing interesting to say about a pen and hand sanitizer so moving on....

My makeup bag is pretty simple these days ➜ blotting papers and oil control powder to keep my face from shining brighter than the sun, hair ties, lotion, a nude lip liner, sometimes a gloss or lipstick, and Aquaphor or Carmex for when my lips need hydrating. I also carry a mini nail file and band-aids which aren't pictured.

So that's it!  That's my bag.

What's a must-have item that you keep in yours?

5 Uses for Vicks Vaporub.

 photo IMG_01444 copy_zps06uq15kc.png

Growing up with a Dominican mom, I learned at a very young age that Vicks vaporub is the "cure all" of life. Yes, it's intended use is to suppress a cough but it can also do a number of other surprising things.

Here are 5 ways to use Vicks Vaporub:

1. Cough/Congestion
The most known use for Vicks Vaporub. Apply some to your chest and feet to help get rid of a cough and breathe easier.

2. Sore muscles/Body aches
Not only is it made to sooth a cough but it is also intended for sore muscles and body aches. Think of it as how you would use Icy Hot.

3. Breakouts
I almost forgot how good this works until I used it the other day. I had a beastly breakout on my face and applied some Vicks vaporub on it overnight. The next morning it was gone!

4. Headaches
Rubbing this onto your temples and forehead can relieve a headache. The scent of the menthol will help release any pressure and that headache will be gone.

5. Nail Fungus
This one I didn't know about until recently and had to share it with you. Get rid of nail fungus by applying the vaporub onto your nails for 2 weeks. Once the nail grows out, it should be as good as new.

Do you know of another use for Vicks vaporub?
Is there another "cure all" product that you use?
